找到一個讓民眾易於理解的網站,裡面有提到nicotine的作用方式
尼古丁是一種中樞興奮劑,因為其脂溶性高,很容易穿過血腦屏障到達中樞,
與nicotinic acetylcholine receptor結合,會促進腦中dopamine釋放,
造成愉悅的快感。(煙癮的產生就跟這個有關)
同時會造成收縮血管、加快心跳、升高血壓。
(這就是一般民眾認為抽煙可以增加新陳代謝的原因之一)
腸胃道方面促進腸胃蠕動,造成噁心嘔吐腹瀉。
(有些人要一邊抽煙才一邊能夠大便就是這樣)
由於nicotine的半衰期只有一~兩個小時,
當nicotine在體內的逐漸被排出時,
dopamine的量也逐漸減少,
那種愉悅感也漸漸消失,所以會讓人想再抽下一根煙。
但是由於人體對於nicotine會有耐受性,
就是原本一天一根不夠了,要一天兩根、四根、一包、兩包這樣,
想戒菸的人又由於戒斷症狀不適(頭痛、血壓低、頭暈、容易餓、容易暴躁、情緒低落)
而又重新開始抽煙,週而復始。
而人體對於NICOTINE的急性致死劑量大概是60mg,
一根煙約有6~8mg,但經過吸入之後大概會吸入1~2mg,
所以一口氣抽個30支煙就有可能讓自己掛點。
由於煙裡面不只有尼古丁,還有焦油等數萬種化合物,
容易致癌不說,
長期吸煙容易造成慢性阻塞性肺炎(COPD),也容易讓吸二手煙的人有COPD。

最後,
戒菸會變胖是因為戒斷症狀,食慾增加比例不少,
尤其是前10周比較容易觀察到食慾增加,撐過就好多了!
胖也就胖那兩個多月。
另外讓人不適的就是失眠、頭痛、坐立難安、對香煙很渴求,
如果真的沒有辦法忍受戒斷症狀,可以去掛戒菸門診,
那對於不容易戒菸的人來說,是一條循序漸進的管道。
